Here is a little street scene of Palermo, Sicily.
In this video I am enjoying a Sicilian Brioche with gelato, or the Italian version of ice cream (but better!). This is outside the Porta Nuova and Corso Calatafimi area of Palermo where many tourists converge and you can find some great street food items.
Nearby is the famous “Ninu u ballerinu”, or Nino the dancing street-food vendor.
Around 1:30 in the video you will see a man ride by on a scooter.
And at 1:40 you will see a traditional Sicilian horse carriage ride towards the Porta Nuova, or the new entrance into the city of Palermo.
This is a touristic area and after the Porta Nuova it turns into a pedestrian zone as you head towards the historical center of town.
